What Type of Treatment Is Available?

Vital Urgent Care provides Paxlovid*** as a treatment option for adults with mild to moderate COVID-19 who face a higher risk of developing severe illness.

*If you require a COVID-19 test for travel purposes, please ensure that you verify the specific type of test required by the jurisdiction you are traveling to before visiting Vital Urgent Care. It's important to note that the accepted COVID-19 test results may differ depending on the jurisdiction. For instance, some jurisdictions may accept a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test result, while others may require a negative result from a PCR test that is sent to a reference laboratory for testing.

**At Vital Urgent Care, we strive to deliver COVID-19 rapid testing results promptly during your visit, although the timing may vary depending on the demand.

***Our dedicated team of healthcare providers will evaluate your condition and provide appropriate treatment whenever possible. If further care is necessary, they may refer you to a specialist. In cases where medication is deemed necessary, a prescription will be sent on your behalf to the pharmacy of your choice. We highly recommend COVID-19-specific therapy, such as Paxlovid, for symptomatic adult patients who have mild to moderate COVID-19 and are at a higher risk of developing severe disease. This includes individuals based on factors such as older age, immune status, COVID-19 vaccination history, and comorbidities associated with disease progression (e.g., obesity, chronic lung disease, heart disease, age over 65, and certain disabilities). Treatment with Paxlovid should be initiated as soon as possible after COVID-19 diagnosis and within 5 days of symptom onset. Please note that Paxlovid is only available with a valid prescription.
