Labs, TB Testing, IVs, EKGs

Convenient On-site Care: At Vital Urgent Care, we provide a range of services to diagnose and treat illnesses during your visit. Our medical team may offer laboratory services, intravenous fluids (IVs), and electrocardiograms (EKGs) if necessary.

Laboratory Testing: If your Vital Urgent Care provider needs to confirm your diagnosis with labs or blood work, we can perform these tests on-site. Additionally, we work with our partners to expedite blood work and cultures, ensuring you receive answers promptly. Common labs we conduct include Strep tests, Flu tests, Monospot, Urinalysis, Urine pregnancy, Fingerstick glucose, and Fecal occult blood.

TB Testing: We offer quick on-site skin tests to check for TB. It's important to note that TB can be present in the body without causing symptoms. Therefore, the CDC recommends testing for individuals who have been in contact with someone with TB, have a weakened immune system, are from countries where TB is common, live or work in areas with a higher TB prevalence, or use illegal drugs.

IVs: When necessary, our medical team can administer IV fluids to replenish the liquids and electrolytes your body needs. If you are dehydrated and unable to consume oral fluids adequately, IV fluid replacement may be required. Dehydration can occur due to factors such as vomiting, diarrhea, or other causes. Please note that IVs are available at select centers, so it's advisable to call your local center to confirm service availability.

EKGs: Our Vital Urgent Care center is equipped to perform EKGs, a test that evaluates the heart's electrical activity. This test helps our medical team identify the cause of chest pain and uncover potential cardiac symptoms such as shortness of breath, dizziness, or heart palpitations.

COVID-19: At Vital Urgent Care, we offer evaluations and testing for COVID-19.
